 Practice Areas

Personal Injury

Over the years we have represented people who have been injured in cars, trucks or motorcycles. Our clients’ injuries are often debilitating to them, long-term, both economically and physically. Many of our clients have also been injured at their workplace.

Although most workplace accidents are covered by Wyoming Worker's Compensation, an employee may have an additional right to compensation if his injury is the fault of a "third party," and not his employer. A "third party" is often the owner of the property on which the job site is located, or another company that retains control over the job site. These claims often involve accidents on drilling rigs or in other oil field activity. Our firm has helped hundreds of clients who were injured on the job due to another's negligence or incompetence.

Wrongful Death

We represent the survivors of people who are killed as a result of the negligence or intentional misconduct of others. These cases are always emotionally charged. Vincent & Rutzick, LLC offers sensitivity to the survivors' substantial loss while zealously working for them to obtain compensation for their loved one’s death.

Insurance Bad Faith Litigation

Insurance companies make it a practice to deny claims and to minimize claim pay-outs, often against the interests of their own customers. This is known as "insurance bad faith." We ensure that our client's health care, disability, and accident benefits are paid according to the insurance contract and in compliance with the law. We do not hesitate to file suit to enforce those rights if insurance benefits have been wrongfully denied.

Typically our clients need legal representation when making claims against either another party's or even their own, insurance company. Our firm specializes in optimizing claims for medical bills, lost wages and pain and suffering, either in settlement or at trial.

"ERISA" - Wrongly denied disability, health or retirement benefits

More and more, insurance companies are denying legitimate claims for benefits. When these benefits are made available through employment, the Employee Retirement Income Security Act, or "ERISA", governs employee's rights. Vincent & Rutzick, LLC is one of the only firms in the state of Wyoming that will file suit to enforce an employee’s rights to benefits that are wrongfully denied.

Land Use and Development Litigation

The escalating costs of real property in and around Teton County, Wyoming compel many individuals to protect their property interests both in and out of court. Land use litigation can entail issues regarding access, wildlife, clean water, preservation of views, and fishing rights, to list but a few. We have represented individuals seeking to protect their property rights, as well as several homeowners’ associations seeking to enforce collective interests – all with the intention of preserving and enhancing land value. Our work involves fighting adverse decisions at the administrative level, as well as litigation in the district court and before the Wyoming Supreme Court.

Complex Business and Commercial Litigation

Litigation has too often become part of the cost of doing business. Over the years, we have successfully defended large and small businesses against a variety of allegations such as wrongful termination, negligence, libel, breach of contract and fraud. Our firm has also successfully prosecuted complex commercial claims involving embezzlement and fraud. We have expeditiously assisted our clients in partnership or corporate dissolution and reorganization. We have also effectively collected on breach of contract claims and substantial collection suits.
